I have a deep burden in my heart for “the lost sheep.” I remember well what it was like to be lost, in darkness . . . To be alone. So many are struggling while the events of the day are swirling around us and distracting us. I was thankful to have our Christmas service. It was a joy to celebrate with everyone. However, my heart was particularly blessed to see the faces of some for the first time or some who I have seen in a while. Some that I know were struggling and needed a word of hope.

The Parable of the Lost Sheep is one of the parables of Jesus. It appears in the Gospels of Matthew (Matthew 18:12–14) and Luke (Luke 15:3–7). It is about a shepherd who leaves his flock of ninety-nine sheep in order to find the one which is lost.
