A Non-Invasive, Non-blame Government Policy that Might Help Public Education

This is an article about Charlotte’s public school district and a plan to aid underperforming schools; it involves moving principals.
Charlotte is obviously not Milwaukee but I like the creative thinking. The times when I attempt to have discussions about solutions related to various social ills (particularly public education) it has been difficult to keep the discussion from meandering over to assessing blame/responsibility. And, I see some value in identifying the source of the problem but too often that is where the conversation remains.
Here is “a” solution. It is a government policy. It doesn’t seem to cost more dollars. It is not blame focused and there is no need for an endlessly looped discussion of personal responsibility versus parent responsibility versus government responsibility.
I like to believe the innovative and entrepreneurial minds can find pragmatic, attainable solutions that can chip away at some our challenges.
